If you love to sew or want to learn and meet others who are also sewing enthusiasts
this is the meet up for you. All levels of experience (or lack of experience) are welcome. If it is sewn it is fair game...everything from Drag Queen costumes to Quilting and beyond. All welcome.
The inspiration for this group was a lack of sewing meet ups *IN* Seattle. Ideas for meet ups are coffee/ tea socials, sewing classes, show and tell, fabric store visits, sewing supply swaps, group sewing days, etc.
We're a group of people of all skill levels who love to sew, or want to learn to sew. We're interested in all the needle arts (except tattooing - and there may be a few of us interested in even that). This group was started by a member of the Greater Seattle Chapter of the American Sewing Guild (ASG). This local chapter of the ASG has eight neighborhood groups plus special interest groups (couture, working women's couture, pattern drafting software, surface design) that meet on a regular basis …
This Meet Up group is to get you out of the quilt closet! From the novice without a cutting board to the expert with a long arm sewing machine, come and share your stories, experiences, favorite quilt blocks and get a chance to show off your works. Classes can be arranged, fabric shared, block parties organized - and if you don't have a sewing machine the Organizer, Jenn Carter, has more than one! Please join the group and RSVP to the next meeting, I'd love to see you!!
Hello and Welcome! Lets get together in homes and community spaces to get work done while getting to know one another. I'm thinking of blackberry harvesting, pickling, sewing/quilting, mending, holiday crafts, window washing, gardening, and painting. I'm also thinking of singing and games and potluck meals. You should join this group if you think a home is more than just a house that is ready for a Martha Stewart photo shoot. You should join this group if you want to work toward creating a world …

This group is for complete newbies, beginners, as well as advanced sewers and fashion designers who want to learn how to incorporate ecology-conscious fashion decisions into their lives. Everyone who loves to craft is welcome to join, make and receive crafts, and make some new friends! The name of the game is Craft Swapping. It's pretty easy. A theme is chosen, everyone in the group gets a partner, and the crafting begins! I, the Organizer, sets up the meetings, picks a theme (ideas welcome!), partners people up, and choose the ending date for the swap.
