Do you love to sew or quilt? Me, too! From children's clothes to hats, potholders to aprons, and from blankets to bonnets, I love to sew! Suprisingly, there were no sewing groups on Meetup, so I started this one! We are chicks of all ages who love to sew! If you do too, this group is for you. Because we discuss our projects and participate in challenges, you'll find it helpful if you: Own a sewing machine and know how to use it Have experience selecting a level-appropriate pattern/project Have …

I am hoping to find a small group of people who would like to get together every 4-6 weeks and make a purse or a tote. I love to sew and love to make purses and totes but seem to be more productive with a group. I have plenty of patterns to share, maybe even some fabric! Once we have a group of at least 10 people I will announce our first meetup. I have a great place we can meet and the days and times can probably be pretty flexible. I hope to meet some fellow sewing enthusiasts soon!

It would be lovely to have a group of Dallas-area crafty types who can meet once a month or every six weeks to work on quick projects together. The DFW area seems to have lots of quilting, sewing, and other needle arts groups, but I would like to find a group of people who like to play with felt - both craft felt and wool felt. This group would be dedicated to quick and easy demos and projects such as Christmas ornaments & felt lapel pins.

… Many of the groups seemed to be distributors for a company, have a single craft focus (like scrapbooking or sewing) or are out of my area. Most of our meetups will be in the North Dallas and Collin County area. WHAT TO EXPECT: The Crafts Crew will generally have a hands-on Meetup for projects every 4-6 weeks. If interest is high, the frequency of meeting may increase. Some meetups will also have a limit on the number of members who can attend (I will try to make that evident in the listing).
Dallas Makerspace is a commune of local geeks and nerds that have banded together to collaborate, learn, and work to serve the greater good. Fundamentally, it is a membership based, shared community workshop, similar to a hackerspace. If you are an artist, engineer, scientist, maker, creator, or thinker, then you will probably find many like minded people in the DMS community who share your interests. Dallas Makers use shared workspace and resources to collaborate on a variety of individual a …
This group is open to all crocheters, cross stitchers, seamstress, scrapbookers, and any other fiber artists looking for a place to come and create, have a night out, and meet people with similar diverse interests. We want to have a relaxed, laid back sharing and cariing environment. For this reason this group is adult focused, but teens and tweens are welcomed with a parent. No small children or pets (though I love them dearly), alcohol, drugs, smoking (inside) or profanity allowed. No none par …
