“ Anyone can join and spend a few hours on your hobby. It's not a sewing class so don't expect any instructions but people will offer advice if you ask for it. ”

“ Everyone was friendly and supportive and provided positive feedback and help when required but allowing for working independently. The studio and equipment are extremely functional and conducive to getting things done easily. Personally, I found it very uplifting to be with people who are so enthusiastic and energetic about fabrics and sewing and it reminded me where my priorities are - all about sewing and fabric and textures and colors and putting these things together in a fun way. The next day I was ready to continue with more sewing and got into organizing some of my fabrics and thinking about future projects. I'm looking forward to attending more meet-ups and hope to take a class or two sometime/somewhere to upgrade my skills. ”

“ I was told all the attendees were first timers. I'll definitely keep attending. I'd like to get to know more of the regular crowd/become part of the regular crowd. ”

“ I want to say this group is great, but so far it is still in the first step. We really need to get people together to created that bonding community experience this sort of event should be. We need to try harder to spread the word, and make sure that people feel welcome no matter what their interest, or skill level. This will take off like wild fire once people realise what we are onto, I have no doubt. Especially come winter time, when getting out and being more social becomes less of a priority, but so good for the soul. ”
