Happy Monday Ladies!
I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was spectacular I must say...yesterday was my Anniversary and my wonderful husband took the whole weekend off...YEA! For those that don't know he is a Locomotive Engineer for the railroad and NEVER home so this was a real treat. He even surprised me with reservations to my favorite restaurant - PF Chang's downtown Ft. Worth. I did get some sewing in though since basketball was on last night so double YEA! It was great to see those of you who were at our meetup on Saturday morning and I hope to see and meet more of you at future meetings. We got to share a lot of ideas and pitch in our 2 cents to help others with their sewing projects. So if you ever have a question or just need another eye or opinion bring your project with you and let us help. Also we would love to see your finished projects. Bring them along or post them to the message board under "Look What I Made". That brings me to another Challenge for May. Look What I Made - anyone posting a picture of a new finished project to the board will get their name in a drawing for a prize at the next monthly meeting. So let us see what you can do! Do me a favor, since I'm not sure if it shows the date posted please add the date in you description. Thanks Keep checking the Calendar as I will be updating it this week with our next project class and monthly meeting. Our next meeting will be May 24 - 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. This month we will be making the most adorable Craft Apron. Look for more information and picture to come. Last, but not least, we were discussing Fabric Coops. Myself and Regina (also a meet up member) are members of a great Fabric Coop on yahoo groups and invite you to join us. There is no upfront fee for this group and you can buy as much or as little as you want. When you do purchase you will be paying for the fabric, shipping and a small coop fee of $3.00 per buy. Once you join you will get information regarding procedures that will cover this in detail. There are some great fabrics from Amy Butler, Michael Miller, Robert Kaufman, Timeless Treasures, Moda and even European and Japanese fabrics - We also do patterns and notions. Price Example: Amy Butler cotton weight fabric at a Quilt Store - $9.00 yd - Coop price $6.50 yd. If you have any questions feel free to contact me and If I can't answer I'll get with Regina as she is a moderator on the group. To join you can send an email and request an invite to ABFabricCoop-subscribe@yahoogroups.com Or click here to join the group. Well I better get back to work. Have a wonderful week and Happy Sewing!
