Meet people who like to do all types of sewing and crafts - if you love making things from fabric, yarn, beads, buttons or thread, this is the group for you.
When we meet, we show off the projects we've made, talk about where we've got stuck and get help from the others, and get inspiration for what to do next. Some members also like to bring a long any small portable project to work on during meetings; good company can even make hand sewing a hem bearable! All skill levels are welcome and beginners will usually be able to get advice from members with more experience- only enthusiasm is required!
We usually meet once or twice a month on weekday evenings or during the day at weekends, generally somewhere in central London in a cafe or pub that serves snacks but if you have different ideas about when or where you'd like to meet or know of an event that might interest other members, click on the options to the left either to answer one of our polls or post a suggestion on our message board.
The London Sewing and Craft Group will be three years old this week, so let's meet at The Banker pub which has always been a popular place with a good turnout when meetings have been organised there.
To mark the occasion I thought it would be nice to have a show and tell with a theme of three but this is optional so don't worry if you aren't able to bring anything. Read more
